Maternal Health Litereracy

I am currently collaborating with the American Heart Association and other local maternal health centers to conduct a research project that determines the effect of nutrition on the number one cause of maternal death: preeclampsia. The project includes weekly informational sessions that involve everything from educational presentations to cooking classes.  

• The sessions and handouts help empower local women to take their health into their own hands and learn more about protecting themselves and their babies.

• The handout below is currently being used as educational material for the possible effects of high blood pressure.
